- The East End Quality of Life Initiative (EEQOL) is a Sheffield Public Health funded project working within the voluntary and community sector. Over the last seven years, as a Health Action Zone funded project, the project has worked closely with local community forums to develop a joined up approach that has been very successful in working with agencies and local businesses. The independence and respect achieved by the project has allowed the development of more integrated and participatory approaches to policy development and decision making, giving more weight to social and environmental considerations in transport, planning and economic development policies for the area.
