SEA-TAC Web Radio
Description
Excerpted from the website:
- Seattle's first Oldies station was 1590 KSND in the late 60s. Call letters were later changed to KUUU, and the station, part of Davis Broadcasting, simulcast their morning show on KUUU, KLOK San Jose and KWIZ Santa Ana/Los Angeles. Other notable Oldies stations in the Puget Sound area were KIRO-FM 100.7 (Drake-Chenault's Hit Parade format), 92.5 KFKF Bellevue, 770 KXA and 97.3 KBSG Tacoma (formerly Top 40 KNBQ and earlier KTNT-FM, which also ran an Oldies format for a short period). The Internet brought us a better version of Oldies radio - Jet City Radio, (2004-2007). Now, FM KBSG becomes KIRO-FM (NEWS) August 2008, killing the Oldies format as we knew it. -- To borrow from the KUUU ad line from the late 60s- "Where Have All The Good Songs Gone?" The Oldies are right here, along with Today's Best Music, on SEATAC RADIO - The Variety Channel.
