REVIEW OF SCHWARTZLABS
Schwartz Laboratories is mostly marketed to body builders, but has weight loss supplements in tandem with its muscle building products. It is based in Cincinnati, Ohio and also has offices based in Europe. To open its market to a wider audience, Schwartz Laboratories has a notice on its homepage for online fitness consultations for $45 per month. We found this ad to be a bit confusing, because it led us to another page with an entirely different set of fees. The closest service to “Fitness Consulting” was “Fitness Coaching,” which lists an enrollment fee of $100 and “Fitness Coaching Rates” as follows: $299 for a “3-Month Game”; $450 for a “6-Month Game”; and $775 for a “12-Month Game.” We will explain these services in more detail later in the review.

REVIEW OF Schwartz Laboratories
Schwartz Laboratories is the manufacturer of an array of nutrition supplements that are advertised to create weight loss and lean muscle. While most of their products seem to be marketed at bodybuilders the company maintains their products are “beneficial to everyone”. The following weight management products include MRX1 Meal Replacement and Rippilator. Rippilator is a fat burner, and we will give a breakdown of the ingredients and examine their effectiveness. MRX1 Meal Replacement is marketed with the mindset that 4 to 6 meals a day ”is vital to maintaining a strong and healthy metabolism.” Since most people do not have time to fix 4 to 6 meals per day, they offer their product to make up for this. They suggest taking it in the morning, especially, since many people are too busy to often prepare breakfast. MRX1 Meal Replacement includes Potassium, Phosphorus, Biotin (Vitamin H), Magnesium, Folic Acid, Inositol, Niacin, along Iron, Calcium, Thiamine, Riboflavin and the Vitamins A and C, D, E, B6, and B12. It contains 850 mg of Potassium, which aids in the controlling the nerves and muscles in the body. Foods that have potassium are whole grains, meat, beans, fruit, and vegetables. We believe that it is best to get this ingredient naturally through natural food intake. The product contains 380 mg of Phosphorus, which is needed to digest protein, calcium and glucose. Phosphorus can be found in milk, cheese, meat, egg yolks, whole grains, peas, and nuts. A lack of Phosphorus can cause weight gain and anemia. It is needed for energy. The product contains additional ingredients. Rippilator is a fat burner. Schwartz Laboratories claims it to be “the best fat burning product available.” We will examine this and provide our opinion. Rippilator contains the following ingredients: Garcinia Cambogia Extract, Guarana Extract, Citrus Aurantium Extract, Caffeine, White Willow Bark, L-Carnitine, and Chromium. Garcinia Cambogia is said to prevent fat from being stored in the body, while also suppressing the appetite. Guarana is a stimulant that has the same chemical composition as Caffeine. Citrus Aurantium Extract, or Bitter, Orange, is a fat –burning agent—one that we believe to be very effective. White Willow Bark increases metabolism and is used to reduce pain for many ailments. L-Carnitine. aids in building muscles and aids in the synthesis of essential amino acids by the body. Chromium is said to help with digesting carbohydrates. While we are happy that this company did use a non-stimulant fat burner like Bitter Orange in some of their formulations, we do wonder why the opted to not utilize the patented version Advantra-Z. Furthermore, most of the formulations did contain various central nervous system stimulants, mostly in different forms of caffeine. We would like to note that most nutritionists will not recommend a daily dietary supplement that contains caffeine since it has been shown to cause adverse side effects, such as jitteriness, nausea and insomnia.
