where John studied at Westminster Theological Seminary . Although both John and Lucy grew up in the Free Reformed Churches of North America in John's final year their membership was transferred to the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in
. John was taken under care and licensed by the Philadelphia Presbytery of the OPC and was later transferred to the Northeast Presbytery of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church . He was ordained in July 1995 after being called to be the Mission Developer of Riverside ARP Church in
