Description
Before joining Red Mountain Radio LLC, Ethan Funk worked as an independent consultant. His consulting work has included the design of a transmitter and receiver for a radar response application, the analog design for a pen that remembers what it writes, performing feasibility studies for space based GPS systems, and the development of control devices for interactive museum exhibits.
Ethan Funk has also worked as a Senior RF Design Engineer at Racal Communications Inc., in Rockville, MD, where he was responsible for VHF radio subsystem design and at Harris, RF Communications in Rochester NY where his responsibilities included rack level system design.
Microwave and Optical Design Engineer/Partner
Before joining Red Mountain Radio LLC, Eric Funk worked as a research engineer at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC. His NRL research involved laser radar, high dynamic range multiplexed radio over fiber, and photonic signal processing. He has also worked as a Senior RF design engineer at EER Systems Inc., in Chantilly, VA where he designed point-to-multipoint 28 GHz customer premise equipment. Before joining EER Sytems, he was a Research Associate at the University of Maryland where he developed a wireless ultra-wideband receiver using photonic processing.
