Rescued Animals in Need

Description

of re-homing stray, neglected and abandoned animals.

In this disposable age in which we live it is inevitable, although unacceptable, that an increasing number of animals are abandoned or abused. While we do witness cases of cruelty, thankfully not all our animals are victims of callous people. Circumstances beyond anyone's control can often mean that a caring owner is forced to make the heartbreaking decision to part with a much loved pet. For whatever reason animals are brought into our care we believe that they have the right to the best care and treatment we can give them. Our team of dedicated voluntary workers painstakingly nurture timid and frightened cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and gerbils who have lost all faith in human nature. With love, care and patience towards these animals we are rewarded with renewed trust in mankind.

Animals brought into R.A.I.N. receive medical attention, vaccinations and all their daily needs. Our largest commodity is love and affection - this we give in abundance - everything else costs a great deal of money which we desperately need to continue our work. When placing our animals in new homes we are anxious to ensure that these homes are permanent. Home checks are made to ascertain that the facilities offered will be suitable for the pet chosen and that the new owners are aware of their responsibilities towards the animal. Help and advice are always available to ensure that our animals settle into their new homes. R.A.I.N. believes that animals play an important part in everyone's lives and that they have a right to a decent existence and to this end we do whatever is necessary to provide the best possible care and attention for the animals in our care. R.A.I.N. operates throughout the boroughs of Sevenoaks and Bromley, and into neighbouring areas of S.E. London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Sadly not all domesticated animals live in homes - several colonies of feral and semi-wild cats are being monitored and cared for wherever possible, and are part of a neutering program
