- The idea for what would become Progressive Blend Radio was hatched in October, 2005, when the person now known on-air as “Downtown” was coming off of a soul crushing four-week bender of reading every book in print about the Bush Administration, culminating with the non-stop ingestion of Bush on the Couch, a devastating psychological analysis of our Leader by Dr. Justin Frank. His ensuing breakdown and coma-like depression over the state of the country, the world, and what the people in power in Washington were doing ultimately gave way to the determination to battle what can truly be described as evil incarnate.
