Description
In 1985 at age 16, singer/songwriter Eric Siems began performing around his hometown of Oneonta, NY. The communities of Oneonta State and Hartwick College provided the markets necessary for him to develop his skills as a musician, audio engineer, concert promoter, and computer geek. As a music industry major at Oneonta State, Eric networked with musicians, students, professors, agents, concert promoters, and venues, to obtain quality gigs.
In 1989, after experiencing life as a working musician, Eric decided that he would become the kind of concert promoter and audio engineer that he would want to work with. As his experience, reputation, and network grew, so did his dream of Positive Productions. One of the bands that he worked with was Ominous Seapods.
In 1992, Eric relocated to Mt. Shasta, CA. He worked as a performer, audio engineer, and concert promoter for local organizations such as the Siskiyou Arts Council, the Mt. Shasta Humane Society, the Mt. Shasta Skate Park Project, and the Weed Revitalization Committee. He also performed and engineered Tobacco Education Concert Assemblies for The Siskiyou County Tobacco Education Project at the Mt. Shasta Sisson Elementary, Butteville Elementary and Senior, Butte Valley Unified, and Gazelle Union Elementary Schools.
