Performance Motorcycle Service was founded in 1981 as the service branch of the Performance & Custom Parts Co. In 1983 P.M.S. relocated from Central Avenue in Albany to Bradford Street where it grew and remained until 1998. A dedicated customer following was the result of fair parts and service practices.
In the fall of 1998, P.M.S. relocated to a new facility in Rensselaer, New York on US Route 9J. This location is much larger than our former shop on Bradford Street in Albany. We now have an expanded showroom to display our huge inventory. Our service department caters to all major makes, domestic and foreign. On-road and off-road parts, service, accessories, helmets and apparel are well represented. Any items not in stock can be special ordered quickly. Along with motorcycles and ATV’s, parts and service for snowmobiles and personal watercraft are available.
A large inventory enables P.M.S. to provide the customer with needed service-related items as well as satisfying safety and accessory concerns. Our parts and service departments are concentrated toward the ever-popular Harleys (current and vintage), Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, BMW and Triumph. This unique blend allows our customers to own several different makes and models while being able to utilize one shop. No need to travel to different dealers for different brands.
