Bill and April Hutchinson founded the Plant & Supply Locator in August 1992. The LOCATOR has become a household name for anyone in the horticulture industry looking to buy, sell or specify plant material and allied products. The monthly magazine contains up-to-date pricing and availability from hundreds of quality growers and suppliers throughout USDA hardiness zones 2-8. The LOCATOR has become one of the most timesaving tools for thousands of horticultural professionals throughout the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest.
In addition to the LOCATOR, we offer hundreds of horticultural books, software and CD-ROM programs containing color photographs, scientific data, and pricing and availability for thousands of varieties of landscape material, all available from Hutchinson Publishing.
Hutchinson Publishing extended its plant locating and buying process by founding a plant brokerage service in 2000. GreenSource Direct, Inc. is a full service brokerage division that allows customers to focus their efforts on installing material, not coordinating plant sourcing and shipping for their jobs.
