Pinter & Martin is an independent publishing company founded in 1997 by Martin Wagner and Maria Pinter when we realised that Stanley Milgram's Obedience to Authority was unavailable in the UK. We specialise in reissuing out-of-print classic by authors who challenge the status quo, such as Grantly Dick-Read's natural childbirth classic Childbirth without Fear, Stuart Sutherland's Irrationality and a new edition of Gabrielle Palmer's The Politics of Breastfeeding, but now are also publishing brand new titles, such as Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson's fantastic book Mistakes were made (but not by me), Sandra Sabatini and Silvia Mori's Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer and Ina May Gaskin's Ina May's Guide to Breastfeeding.
Pinter & Martin is based in London, but we sell and market books all over the world, with distribution in the US, Canada and Australia. Apart from publishing books, Pinter & Martin also produces films and plays. Our play The Agent premiered in London's West End last year and is now a feature film. We have two further feature films in development.
