- As a high school art student, I was often impatient with the length of time it would take to create a finished work, as well as the challenge in capturing in a painting or drawing format exactly what I saw in my mind's eye. In my junior year, I took a class called 'Multi-Media', which explored the creative aspects of still photography and cinematography. Here I was introduced to a 35 mm camera, and I never looked back. Through the camera viewfinder, I could see the composed work as I viewed it, along with a method of artistic expression coupled with a kind of "instant gratification" not found in traditional art mediums. So began my 30 plus years exploring photography, both as a career and avocation.
