Description
Paradise Valley Springs first opened in 1939 as a Trout Sanctuary. It was purchased in 1975 by Stuart and John Hamlett. Since then, the Hamletts have completed a major redevelopment of Paradise Valley Springs Wildlife Park, making it the superb international attraction it is today.
Stuart is now the Owner and Operator of Paradise Valley Springs and there are now 3 generations of the Hamlett family living in Paradise!
As part of the redevelopment process, 11 acres of adjoining land was purchased in 1996 and that same year Paradise Valley Springs was awarded the I.T.O.C. (Inbound Tour Operators Council of New Zealand) – Operator of the year award. In 1998 20 more acres of untouched native bushland were purchased by Paradise Valley Springs.
