Paddle/Wheel Adventures is a family owned and operated company. It is fully licensed and insured, as are all their guides. The office is located in an attractive log home, one of the most photographed buildings in the area.
Lee Drummond is a university student at UNBC in Prince George pursuing a degree in Natural Resource Management. Lee came up with the idea to operate an adventure business to provide himself with summer employment while doing something he loves. He was raised to appreciate and enjoy sports and the outdoors and is an enthusiastic fisherman. His canoe/fishing trips are often accompanied by sightings of wildlife. You don’t want to miss Lee’s famous fresh fish shore lunch.
Lee’s Mom, Val, is his business partner. She enjoys a variety of sports and activities such as cycling, running, playing and coaching hockey and all the outdoor pursuits: camping, fishing, hiking and hunting. Her other son Ryan can be found at the Tatshenshini River, guiding whitewater raft trips. Val ran a gift shop in their present location for ten years before deciding she was spending way too much time indoors. Val loves her work with Lee and she claims to have spotted the most number of grizzly bears on the guided heli-hike throughout a summer!
