REVIEW OF OXYCISE
Oxycise is a new weight loss program which focuses on intensive breathing techniques. According to the website, this method of exercise “shifts your body into metabolic overdrive.” This program is advertised to promote weight loss without reducing calories and exercise; it’s said to benefit users of all fitness levels. There are many programs which make similar big claims while usually there is a minimal weight loss seen at best.

REVIEW OF Oxycise
Oxycise is a weight loss program, as opposed to the dietary supplements used for weight loss that we normally review. Therefore, our review will take a different approach, focusing instead on the techniques discussed in this program and its potential effectiveness for weight loss. It should be mentioned that this weight loss program does not include use of the popular appetite suppressant Hoodia Gordonii or the effective energy enhancer Advantra-Z®. Oxycise is a new weight loss program that focuses on intensive breathing techniques. This program was developed by Jill Johnson after she battled fat all her life. The website alleges she lost all excess weight due to her technique Oxycise and has kept it off for 15 years now. Johnson does not have any nutritional or training background. The website does not specifically state how she came upon this weight loss method, which would have been helpful in determining the actual effectiveness of this program. We will thoroughly examine this program to determine if the hyped-up, marketed results are likely to occur, and if it is likely for Oxycise to create any weight loss results. This program is advertised to create fat reduction and increase energy through a series of breathing techniques. According to the website, it’s a safe and effective program beneficial for people of all ages including seniors. It’s said to work by teaching users how to increase the amount of oxygen in their body by 70%. This increase of oxygen allegedly expels the “fat-trapping toxins in the body.” This program also claims to increase pH levels in the body which will boost the metabolism and promote the burning of stored fat. There is no dieting required with this program, in fact food and nutrition is not even mentioned. This program also does not expect users to exercise beyond the ones tailored to enhance breathing. The lifestyle to accompany this program is fairly easy, since there are no additional components required beyond the breathing exercises. While there are no classes offered for this technique, which could be helpful to ensure it is properly done, there is the choice between books and instructional DVDs. There has been very little research conducted regarding Oxycise as a method of weight loss. As of now, this technique has not been proven to encourage fat reduction or raise energy. Though, it is possible for it to benefit the strength and endurance of the lungs. Also, certain breathing procedures have been shown to be beneficial for meditative purposes and may be soothing for certain people.
