Description
In 1978, a group of faculty members got together to help shape their own future. While our principle concerns in the past have been protecting faculty salaries and benefits, the Association of Oregon Faculties (AOF) is equally concerned about the higher education system as a whole.
AOF continues to recognize the need for effective, unified governmental representation to convince decision makers of the necessity of higher quality programs and competitive faculty pay.
AOF’s mission and goals put it in harmonic pitch with other groups representing faculty: AAUP, IFS and collective bargaining units. The Association of Oregon Faculties is dedicated to increasing the “total share” of the state budget for academic salaries and benefits.
