- I was born in Gyeongju, Korea, but I grew up in Denmark. My birth mother died a few months after I was born and my father was absent due to his situation as a Buddhist monk. I lived with various relatives for the first three years together with my two year older brother. I was consequently put up for adoption and that is how I ended up with my Danish family. I grew up in a small town in Southern Denmark together with my Danish parents and an adopted sister, also from Korea.
