- Hi, we are Jason and Angela. We live near Burnham on the outskirts of south Christchurch in New Zealand. At the moment we have two Leonbergers named River and Ollie, an English Setter named Rocky and two cats Spiderman and Toffee pop as well as our wee boy Devin who was born in August. Ollie was our first Leonberger, Jason was really keen to get one of these giant dogs and take part at the dog shows with me. At that stage I was quite happy with my English Setters until Ollie arrived. Not long had he been part of our family when his fantastic nature and loyal attitude won my heart. Dying to get a Leonberger of my own we were back in touch with Verna at Simtara Leonbergers in the North Island and now we co-own River with Verna and she lives down here with us in Burnham. She is a beautiful girl who just loves cuddles.
