The idea of this actually happening almost gave me a hearth attack.
Though this isn't very likely to be true, for Mozilla would effectively have killed its community with such a move, the argument about Debian doesn't apply here. If Microsoft would have acquired Mozilla, they could do whatever they like with the assets acquired including names.
But of course there are to many people in this world who know Microsoft for what they really are, especially at Mozilla. Such a move would require a collective total brain failure for the folks at Mozilla (or a collective suicide attempt).
But even if it is a hoax, I wonder who's behind it. Microsoft might even benefit from this hoax since it does spread a cload of FUD.'
This is a Hoax I have spoken to Microsoft and they confirm this is a hoax and they are dealing with it.
