Mr. Voice is the creation of H. Wade Minter. He began writing the program soon after he began performing the role of Mr. Voice at ComedySportz-Raleigh (now ComedyWorx). The sound system until that time was based around tapes and CDs, and Wade thought that a digital audio system would be an improvement. The initial version of Mr. Voice was used in Raleigh in early to mid 2001, and development has continued ever since. Wade is originally from Kenbridge, Virginia. He got his B.S.
