Description

Excerpted from the website:

What! No fancy server push graphics! No Java! Why am I doing this? Well, I am a firm believer in HTML purity, and in the conservation of internet bandwidth. I want a person accessing my pages from a modem to notice no long waiting period, and thus, I have chosen to limit my "neat gadgets". Besides, they serve no real purpose. Sure, a page should look stylish, but not at the sacrifice of speed. I suppose a good rule of thumb to follow is: if it helps you communicate, then use it, if not, then skip it, unless it is really, really small. I hope you agree, and if you do, a good place to learn more about coding proper HTML is The Ten Commandments of HTML FAQ (this is a mirror, as the original site is gone).
