The MIR (World) Travel Company, one of the pioneers among private tourist companies of Saint-Petersburg was set up in 1992 during the transitional period known as "Perestroika". The first employees began to operate in a small office. That was our first step towards our future development. Like many other companies we survived through the economic crises in Russia. We made slow but steady progress increasing the number of tourists and improving the quality of services. Our reputation as a Company has spread. Now we are among the ten best Travel Companies of the city and our Company is the Official Agent of Saint-Petersburg Government. The company meets the 300th Anniversary of Saint Petersburg in its own office in the main street of the city. Our staff is numbering 103 people at the peak of the season.
In the office permanently work 35 people. All of them are professionals. At present the MIR is a participator in the international and Russian exhibitions. The MIR is a member of RATA and ATEP. During the last three years the MIR gained many Diplomas at the competitions among the Tourist Industry Companies.
The MIR Travel Company provides services for tourists in Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, the cities of the "Golden Ring", as well as in other towns of Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Ukraine and Finland.
