- Sharon Hackleman has counseled teens in emergency shelters and group homes over the last four years in Alaska and Hawaii. During one of her group sessions, using an adult version of affirmation cards she realized that the teens were having a difficult time understanding the terminology. Sharon found herself interpreting the cards so they could grasp the meaning of the affirmations. It was during that group session that the idea for the Mind Time Cards came to her.
