MilesForMigraine.org - Run / Walk Event to Raise Awareness & Funds for Migraines

Miles for Migraine is a non-profit organization whose goal is to stomp out head pain!!
Miles for Migraine was founded by Eileen Jones and consists of a concerned group of medical, allied health, and laypersons. In 2008, a grassroots effort was started in the form of an annual Run / Walk event which is held each fall in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The mission of Miles for Migraine is to:
- 1. Inform the public about the serious underfunding for research in the prevention, causes, treatment, and cure of headache disorders. Less than 0.05% of federal tax dollars for the National Institutes of Health is currently allocated to research on headache disorders.
- 2. Provide website links about various headache organizations for further information.
- 3. Create a fun outdoor event that especially welcomes those who suffer from headache disorders, and their families, friends, and all those who support them through their pain.
