MateCheck: What we are about

The concept of MateCheck was conceived several years ago when the founders were seeking a vehicle to evaluate business contacts on a more personal level. Finding nothing available, they founded RepCheck.com, an in-depth website that provided a platform in which individuals could discuss the reputations of others online. MateCheck would follow suit almost a decade later, providing women with comprehensive reports on men in the online dating community comprised of in-depth reviews and personality character ratings.

RepCheck.com quickly ramped up to become a fully operating resource containing reliable information on other's reputations. The news media fully backed the concept, and supported the unique RepCheck scoring system that filtered out unmistakable bashing and kept only truthful reviews. Men and women alike were utilizing the system to both review information on others and to boost their own reputation by soliciting positive feedback.

At the time of this RepCheck venture in the late 1990's, the internet was not wholly used to its potential and users were not yet accustomed to public discussions online. Today, communication online is critical, and people are regularly pursuing discussions with others especially via online dating sites. Now not only is it common place to seek a mate online, it is a culturally acceptable phenomenon. In the online dating world, the need to uncover the unknown about others is even more critical. Alas, the RepCheck system becomes an even more viable entity, and its companion site, MateCheck, is born.
