About the Band
MarshMelones is a german rockband from munich (bavaria) and was founded in 2002 by drumer "Tobias Keinert" his cousin "Jan Arnold" (guitar) and singer "Kleanthis Argiropoulos" (Kle). They started playing together at the age of 16 and began with the search of a bassist in late 2002. An early idea for the bands name was "mental illness" which was soon replaced. As result of being unable to pronounce "MarshMellows" they just left it because it sounded nice and didn't exist as real word. After trying out several bass players they found the perfect match in Kle's football teammate "Johannes Wendler". The bands name is pronounced {ma:smelauns}
First EP
After writing a fistfull of dedicated songs and playing the first tremendous shows they found a producer who was willing to do a 5 track EP with them. Wolf Wolff from Emergency Room Studios produced their debut "Firts Strike" which was sold 500 times.

A New Chapter
2006 After playing through Bavaria and Italy Jo left Germany. After Jo's departure to Asia the band took a brake due to the beginning of their studies and civil duty. After Jo's return they paused another semester and then reunited late 2007 to write new songs and rehearse again. At the moment the band is recording their first full lenght CD in production of their own. They bought new euipment and wish to shape the sound of the record just how they want it.
