Description
My name is Marina Levkin, I am a member of Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association and have been teaching piano for over 20 years in Russia and Canada.
I hold Piano Teacher's diploma from a College of Music (Russia) and a Master's degree in Art History from St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (Russia). After moving to Canada I continued my education here and obtained ARCT in piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music, where I studied with such distinguished pedagogues as Andrew Markow (piano), Marina Geringas (piano pedagogy), and Adelina Burashko (ear training pedagogy).
I offer lessons to children and teenagers. I teach primarily classical repertoire with emphasis on tone production, technique, phrasing, and all the elements that contribute to the development of expressive and confident piano style. Lessons are offered for all levels, from beginners to ARCT. The majority of my students, who take RCM exams and participate in festivals, consistently achieve excellent results. The students are encouraged to participate in recitals, organized twice a year.
