- The Maine Classical Association is an organization of Latin and Greek High School and College instructors, and other friends of the Classics, from around our great state who strive for the promotion of the Classics. We hold two annual meetings, one in the Fall at a University, and the second in the Spring at a high school. As well as the academic and professional foundation that the MCA establishes, we also create a cultural awareness of community events that relate to the Classics. To that end, we keep a current list of upcoming events and try to spread the knowledge and fun of the Classics to non-Classicists. Please feel free to contact us if you want to know more information about the MCA, the Classics, or job opportunities in this state. After all, Maine has its own special claim to Homer…Winslow Homer, that is.
