Lumisys Ltd was officially formed in early 2005, bringing together ideas that were developed over a period of several years. Business founders, Derek Roberts and Dalibor Krsmanovic, recognised the potential market within a particular niche of the leisure industry for an integrated system to control lights above snooker tables, flood-lights on football pitches and squash courts, manage club memberships and generally aid operation of such sports establishments. It was recognised early that the hardware component of the product offered a potential application within the industrial sector that could provide the company with necessary future growth. Lumisys recognises the difficulties faced by traditional Engineering companies in UK in terms of overheads and red tape, which prevents rapid product development, hinders creativity and spirals the project costs out of control. Lumisys aims to tackle this issue in a radical way by working closely with our subcontractors for product manufacture and assembly wherever possible and therefore freeing up our core staff to have total focus on Research and Development of new and innovative products.
