- Let’s Stay Lake District was launched in May 2005 by Sam Shimeld a graduate in Business & Marketing from Sheffield Hallam University. The website is very much a family concern with Sams dad (John) also highly involved. As well as Sam and John other members of the family have also contributed with Sams mum Maureen keeping a close eye on the accounts & Sams sister Laura contributing the writing of many articles which are featured on the site. The newest recruit to the team is Sams university colleague Steve Jones.
