Would mobile phone customer service centers be a part of LahoreTech? Dimension-4.com is a Motorola service center. I am not sure if this would be a part of LahoreTech and if it is we should presumably add in all the other customer service centers for other mobiles as well. What do you guys think? - Mubin, Ayesha, I've written a draft LahoreTech iteration-end status report here. Add to it as you think necessary. -- FatimaRaja 20:28, 30 December 2007 (PST)

- I2cInc.com is a company that exemplifies the off-shore problem. It's an American company, the CEO is of Pakistani origin, and their development work is done in Lahore by another company, Innovative-pk.com which is also owned by the same people. Does I2c Inc. belong in LahoreTech? My view is that it does, but I can be persuaded very easily. -- FatimaRaja 20:17, 26 December 2007 (PST)
- Fatima re:I2cInc.com, I personally think it should be in LahoreTech as it is after all a tech company functioning in Lahore. --AyeshaAslam 21:53, 26 December 2007 (PST)
- Sure. Sounds good to me. -- FatimaRaja 21:58, 26 December 2007 (PST)
- I believe if i2cInc.com is american company, and it is incorporated in USA it is American company. But it can be added to LahoreTech for its intelectual propreties contribution to the region, with a proper notability for its status concerned. Igorberger 23:53, 26 December 2007 (PST)
- Igor, take a look at how I've tried to build i2cInc.com - I'd love input. We're leaning towards having it in LahoreTech largely because we thought the best way to approach this newborn portal would be through two lenses: (1) which companies would an IT person in Lahore be interested in? And (2) which companies in Lahore would an IT person elsewhere in the world be interested in? My reasoning was that companies like i2cInc.com, which systematically outsource development to a Lahore company would automatically be of interest to people in group 1 - especially if, say, they were considering working with the Lahore development office. Any thoughts? `-- FatimaRaja 00:05, 27 December 2007 (PST)
- FatimaRaja we are in the gray zone heer. By your reasoning Intel, IBM, MicroSoft all belong in LahoreTech because they outsource to the region, probably have an office in the region. I do understand your sentiment, being that the CEO is from Pakistan, and you want to give ThumbsUP for the region with a few good companies! There is nothing wrong with doing that. We support our roots and affiliations, as long as we do it with good taste and without COI. So yes go ahead and add them to LahoreTech, just declare in the article what the company is about, where they from, the CEO backgroud, and their business affiliation to the region. Actually it will add merit to the LahoreTech, including this company if they are positive for the region. Igorberger 00:28, 27 December 2007 (PST)
- Mubin, Ayesha, this is an experiment copying what the Community staff is up to (take a look at Category:CurrentCommunityTasks to see how it works). Let's try putting up any questions, discussion points and other items of interest here so we have our own mini Content Log. What do you two think? -- FatimaRaja 20:17, 26 December 2007 (PST)
- I think this is a great idea. Now there is one place where we can discuss things :) -- AyeshaAslam 21:53, 26 December 2007 (PST)
- Please note that all Community Staff have our box on our PersonalPages, as well as on the page for the whole team. You might try that as well. :-) TedErnst (talk)

Project:
Description
Complete a minimum of 15 articles a day for the PortlandTech project. This will provide 150 articles during the iteration. With us moving to two-person teams per portal, it's unclear if this goal is high or low, but we'll adjust accordingly.
Why?
To continue filling out the PortlandTech resource.
Done When
150 articles are complete. (Number could change once we know how the teams work out.)
