- The Los Angeles County Public Health Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Program's purpose is to prepare for emergencies caused by bioterrorism, infectious disease, and other public health threats through the development and exercise of a comprehensive public health emergency preparedness and response plan. Out program comprised of individuals who work for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Our funding comes primarily from a Grant awarded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The following includes the actions we are taking to achieve critical goals established by the Centers for Disease Control and HRSA:
