Description
We are “Knots for Love”. We decided on the name because of the knotted blankets we give away with love. Our goal to build a network that will handle the making and distribution of our knotted fleece blankets. In order to make this possible Knots for Love will need volunteers willing to make the blankets and deliver them to those in need of some comfort. Who: We are a family that is dealing with a member that has a terminal illness. When this happens to a family, it not only affects the one with the illness, it affects the whole family whether they live under one roof or, as in our situation, spread out across the country. When a member of the family has cancer or another terminal illness, it becomes difficult to reach out to other members, feeling like a heavy burden to the rest of the family. We will build this network of friendship between those afflicted and those willing to reach out and just be a friend.
Where: I (Jenniffer), and my wonderful husband, Chris are located in Paducah, KY. My brother Mike, is located in Clinton, IA and my dad, Mike is located in Scottsbluff, NE.
