- Dogs have been a part of my life for over 16 years. My family’s first dog was a beautiful Golden Retriever named Calli of Tally Ho, whose life was sadly cut short at the age of 8 due to cancer. While Calli was still with us, we added another dog to our family. His name is Grandview’s Jaeger. He is a large beautiful German Shepherd Dog (GSD). Although he is what we would call a hard-tempered, protective dog, he has a true heart of gold. Jaeger has suffered many health set-backs in his life, but thankfully with a lot of love and care, he is still with us today at the ripe ol’ age of 12.
