- Jhao Dararasami , a royal consort of King Chulalongkorn Rama 5th of Chakri Dynasty of Siam was the eleventh daughter of King Intravichayanon, the 7th King of Chiangmai's last dynasty and Queen Thepkaisorn. She was born in the year of 1873 at the palace Koom-Luang in the center of Chiangmai city. She was the pioneer of the restoration of the art of the weaving by hand of the brocaded Thai Silk with a particular design. This design was the only one left by her queen mother as heritage. It was unique with exceptional beauty, which could not be found anywhere else. It gave the queen a great deal of inspiration in the art of weaving cloth (Brocaded silk) with more floral designs, in the traditional way. The queen has a lot of weavers with great talent collected and made then work together in the more than 20 weaving looms in the palace.
