- I’ve been living in the DC area for almost four years now, but somehow I hadn’t made it to the 9:30 club. Last night I went there with Beth, Jason, and Tinsley to see one of my favorite new bands, Wolfmother. I was really impressed with the venue. It was small enough to feel intimate yet large enough to have good acoustics, all while providing a surprisingly decent value compared to other concert locations in the area. Even better, however, was the group itself. Wolfmother played a very good (albeit predictable) set, and I was very happy to see them interject a new song (Pleased to Meet You) into the mix. If the other songs on their next album are even half as good as this one, it should prove to be a worthy follow-up to the debut album. Below are a couple videos I made while I was there.
