- For the past five years Jason has worked as a journalist at two city magazines, Cincinnati and Philadelphia. In the summer of 2004 he met Bill "El Wingador" Simmons, arguably the great chicken-wing champion of the latter half of the twentieth century, and left his staff job at Philadelphia to report full-time on America's competitive eating circuit. The resulting book, Horsemen of the Esophagus, will be released on April 25, 2006, and an excerpt will appear in the May 2006 issue of The Atlantic Monthly.
