Intrex was founded in 1988 as a PC and data networking consulting firm. Increased demand for our products and services led the company to branch out into retail with the opening of our Raleigh store in the summer of 1992. By the end of 1999, Intrex was successfully operating seven retail stores in the region. Intrex retail stores offer the local market customized computers, technical support, networking and a wide variety of computer parts.
Intrex saw a great opportunity with the boom of the Internet to offer more diverse computing solutions. In 1996, our Internet division, Intrex.net, came "on line" in the Research Triangle Park. Intrex.net offers a wide range of Internet services, from individual dialup connections and corporate dedicated circuits to high quality Web hosting and E-Commerce services. The Intrex.net network has evolved into a high performance, highly redundant network utilizing state of the art technology. Intrex.net attributes its success to offering the local community high quality services combined with excellent customer service.
Intrex has experienced rapid growth and has been recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies in North Carolina. Our company has received many awards recognizing our achievements, including the "Future 30" award by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the "North Carolina Technology 50" award, the "National Fast 500 Technology" award, and the "Triangle Fast 50" award.
