The entry level amateur radio license is the technician license. You do not need to know morse code to obtain this license. There is no age limit and almost anyone who passes the test can get a license. You get this license by passing a 35 question multiple choice test. You pass the test by answering 26 or more of the questions correctly. This test is given by Volunteer Examiners. Volunteer Examiners are amateur radio licensees who have agreed to administer the FCC test on behalf of the FCC.
