- Information Automation Limited (IAL) is an information research, consultancy and training company located in Mid-Wales and formed early in 1987. The original intention was to focus on consultancy, but over the years research and training have become the primary activities, and only a relatively small amount of true consultancy work is now undertaken. Institutions that have consulted us include the BBC, the British Library, the British Council, the World Bank and the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) of the Higher and Further Educations Funding Councils as well as a number of private companies..
- The company was founded, and is run, by Chris Armstrong, whose particular interests centre on the quality of electronic information and e-books. Work undertaken by IAL is carried out by a small team of information professionals whose primary objective is to produce high-quality work to schedule.
