Description
I hope you enjoy my little contribution to the pleasures and beauty of the Great Outdoors. I walk and ramble in most areas, but mostly in the North of England within reach of Manchester, where I live.
I also dabble in climbing and abseiling, mountain biking, caving and potholing, crown green bowling, and, connected with my walking exploits, Digital Photography, you can view some of my pictures by clicking on the link, Photo Gallery and I will also put a link to my Scouting page.
Scouting has taken up 20 years of my spare time! (some not so spare as well!) I have a passion for anything outdoors, so I suppose it was natural for me to join Scouting to pass on some of my knowledge and experience. I am the Akela at the 8th St. Margaret's Scout Group in Prestwich, Manchester. I hold Scouting authorizations for Hill-walking and single pitch climbing with an 21 year First Aid at Work Certificate, which has lead me onto Wound Simulation and First Aid demonstrations for a variety of clubs and institutions.
