Description
Walkingworld was conceived in 1999 by Nicholas Rudd-Jones and David Stewart. The site was built in early 2000 by David's media company, DVA, a specialist in content-managed websites. The business was joined shortly afterwards by Chris Stewart, David's wife, who has managed the database of walks ever since.
The aim of Walkingworld is to provide the best online resource for walkers in the UK. We are indebted to the 200 or so keen walkers who contribute routes to the database. Through them you have access to local knowledge and insider information.
