- I've studied computer science at the University of Karlsruhe and finished with a diploma/masters in computer science. While studying I've been working as a freelancer and led and architected a number of software development and IT projects on different platforms. I enjoyed the experience of working on both sides of the software fence, i.e. developing software products on the one side, and evaluating, deploying, operating and managing IT solutions on the other side. When you have to operate IT solutions you see things suddenly from a quite different perspective than someone who develops these solutions.
