Welcome to GirlGeeks.org - the website formerly known as GirlGeeks.com! GirlGeeks is now a resource provided by BAVC.org , a non-profit organization dedicated to making media and technology resources available to everyone, particularly traditionally underserved segments of the population.

BAVC received a generous grant from the Markle Foundation to do the first phase of work - putting the GirlGeeks site back online. The grant also provided for the creation of a training DVD using the extensive GirlGeeks video library. (Special thanks to Markle's Zoe Baird, CEO, and Karen Byers, CFO!)

Even "after the bubble", the world is a new place, and technology for communication and community-building are more important than ever. We want to ensure that women and other often-overlooked groups have the freedom, motivation and resources to participate in this new world.
