- In 1974, Terri Fox and her sister Marg McTaggart started Gala-Van Catering Ltd. With assistance from Terri’s husband Bud and Marg’s husband George, Gala-Van grew to be one of the biggest catering companies in the Victoria area during the late 1970’s. Their diverse clientele included: the Corporation of Saanich (Gala-Van catered the first Saanich New Year’s levy); the R.C.A. Officers’ Mess at the Victoria Armoury; the Garth Homer Centre (where Gala-Van was the exclusive caterer); and the da Vinci Centre (where they were also the exclusive caterer).
