Disaster in los Roques
- Overpriced, rude and worst of all people will rip you off every chance they get. After carefully planning a family trip for months we flew to los Roques but where dismayed to find out that the sailboat that we had contracted (Obsession) for 3 days was not on the island and no one knew its whereabouts.
To make matters worse there where no rooms available on the island of Grand Roque and we had nowhere to go since the last departing plane was full. Luckily we where able to find a smaller sailboat by paying a hefty cash price on the spot. Unfortunately it was not prepared to receive us (dirty, stale food) but at least we had a place to sleep.
The next day the original sailboat showed up. The owner of the boat did not even apologize. We had already paid for the whole 3 days and the obsession so we agreed with it’s owner that he would not charge us for the time that the sailboat had not been available, and that on the following Monday he would reimburse us.
