Excerpted from the website:
- d.light formed during the "Entrepreneurial Design for Extreme Affordability" class at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford in Spring 2006. Collectively, we have started three companies and an NGO, we have lived in 11 developing countries for a total of 42 years, we speak seven languages, we have three patents and 21 patents pending, and we have run two marathons, one iron man and cycled across Canada. So we like big challenges!
