- In January of 2005, one could liken our fledgling group to a cheap wind-up toy that goes in every direction but never actually gets anywhere. But in May, when we joined the statewide Democracy for Tennessee House Party event, we decided to define our goals. As a result, Democracy for Coffee County became much more steadfast, resourceful, somewhat experienced, and even a little organized! While our best work in 2005 took place in the school board campaign of Susan Campbell, there were several other things we did that also helped us to grow.
