Dead Metaphor has a complicated history. What started out as a radio show on a local pirate radio station in Richmond, Virginia in 1999 or so morphed into an online radio show called Deep Fry Bonanza, which spawned a web zine called Deep Fry Bonanza that outlived the over-the-air and the online radio show by about five years. In September of 2004 I started a personal blog in order to write about aspects of my life not covered by Deep Fry Bonanza, and eventually the blog came to interest me more than the main zine, so Deep Fry Bonanza ended in May of 2005, leaving Dead Metaphor to carry the torch in order to talk about great punk rock.

i came here after doing a seach for Walking Wreck (who you make sound awsome and whose 7″ i will now order) and now an half an hour after typing “Walking Wreck” into google i’m still here. your blog rules. up tha e-punx. (haha)
