Debra Burrell, C.S.W., is a licensed psychotherapist and founder of the Mars-Venus Counseling Center in New York. She trained directly with the renowned Dr. John Gray to bring his groundbreaking techniques to people who are interested in improving their relationships.
She was personally chosen by Dr. John Gray, author of the best seller "Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus" to create a counseling center in Manhattan which treats couples and individuals with his practical techniques. As a licensed relationship counselor and workshop leader at the "Mars-Venus Counseling Center" in New York City, Burrell helps hundreds of relationship-challenged couples and singles improve their interpersonal skills. She utilizes short-term, effective approaches to emotional problem solving, and helps people identify responses, both emotional and mental, which interfere with the experience of current happiness. As a result, people enjoy healthier and happier relationships.
Ms. Burrell also developed the Trauma Recovery Program for men and women who have had histories of abuse, or have been the victims of traumatic crime. This innovative program, which was originated for use at Victim Services, the nation's largest organization serving the needs of victims, combines visualizations, cognitive-behavioral techniques and other strategies to reduce emotional pain. She has also attended the Masters and Johnson Sexual Trauma Program.
